Shaw Flooring, one of the world’s largest carpet makers, held the World’s largest pie fight at their Dallas, Texas convention. The pie fight involved 434 participants and 1,200 apple, cherry and chocolate pies. Shaw held the pie fight on its Anso nylon carpet as a way to demonstrate Anso nylon’s ability to repel stains and to be easily cleaned. After the event they cleaned approximately 3,000 pounds of pie from the carpet and displayed the previously pie-covered carpet in the lobby of the Embassy Suites in nearby Grapevine, Texas.
